This is the meat from calves under 10 months old, which have been fed with maternal milk for at least 7 months.

They are reared on traditional farms in the Galician countryside, with rearing methods handed down from generation to generation, focusing on the use of local resources and care for the animals.

Breast-feeding is maintained practically until slaughter, and is complemented with high quality fodder, cereals, vegetables and concentrates.

The result is meat of the highest quality, with extraordinary flavour and tenderness and widely recognised nationally and internationally.

In this variety the labels of the Certificate of Guarantee and Certification of Supreme Galician Veal are pink in colour and the term SUPREMA stands out on them.

(Galician Veal)

Galician Veal Label

This is the meat of calves reared on small family farms, using traditional methods of fattening cattle and their own labour.

The calves are less than 12 months old and are weaned at different ages. Their feed is based on fodder and vegetable concentrates, which are strictly controlled so that they remain free of animal by-products or substances that may alter the animals’ rate of development.

In this variety, the labels of the Certificate of Guarantee and Certification of Galician Veal are yellow in colour and the term ‘TERNERA’ stands out on them.
